Trophy Deer Recognition: Several sportsmen’s organizations recognize trophy deer heads in Ohio: Buckeye Big Buck Club, Boone & Crockett Club, Pope & Young Club, and the Longhunter Society. Should you kill a trophy deer and care to have the antlers scored, call 1-800-WILDLIFE for contact information for any of these groups. (Note: Buckeye Big Buck Club and Boone and Crockett Club recognize deer taken by all legal methods of hunting. Pope & Young Club recognizes deer taken by bow and arrow, excluding crossbows. The Longhunter Society recognizes deer taken by muzzleloader hunting methods. Point scoring for an entry is different based on each organization’s requirements.
